ESPO: SINGOLARE_PLURALE is a project created by Giovanna Rovedo developed and performed together with Michela Silvestrin. The three stages of the residency at Villa Manin have been essential in the creative process for the two dancers, focused not only on the physical aspects and a research into atmospheres and images, but also through the relationship with an involved and engaged audience, which has been constantly present. The participation and gaze of the public has been essential for a project that is based on the dynamics between impulse, exhibition and repetition.

Giovanna Rovedo explains: "I want to take stock of the fact that everyone has their own quantity of emotions waiting to be freed. Using the presentation to the public and the emotion of the scene as a spark of inspiration, I want to find out which of these emotions can easily be shared or given as a gift. I am looking for the reasons why an audience wants to explore the piece and I imagine them in an intimate and shared landscape".

Giovanna Rovedo is a dancer and anthropologist. After graduating from the Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome, she studied in New York at the Martha Graham Dance School, with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company and in Berlin with Arthur Staldi at Labor Gras.
In 2013, she began creating her first pieces as a choreographer, Località Presa 1. In 2014 she creates Dino. In 2015 she participated in the Fuga Pasolini_Ballo 1922 project by Virgilio Sieni and in Gravities by Laurent Chétouane for the Biennale Danza College.

Michela Silvestrin is a dancer, she studied ballet and contemporary dance. In 2013 she participated in the Angelo che se ne va project by Virgilio Sieni in Udine and in Marseille, the European capital of culture. Her first piece as a choreographer, L’educazione di una giovane Dea dates from 2014.
