The German-Italian Barletti/Waas, known for their intense, often bilingual work on Handke, dare to put a character (the Krapp of Beckett's ‘Krapp's Last Tape’) and a person (the nameless woman of Handke's ‘Till Day You Do Part) to the test through two texts by the great masters Beckett and Handke.
Acting meets performance, past meets present, remembering meets feeling, an artistic pause meets a pause for reflection, repetition meets the unpredictability of the now.
An unveiling of completely different worlds, of an inner, secret space where the boundaries between false and real blur.
Will a duet ensue? Or a dialogue at a distance? Or two monologues each locked in its own space?
And who will have the last word? Beckett's actor or Handke's nameless woman?
